General Managers Tintswalo Atlantic

“Joining 6 months before the completion of Tintswalo at Waterfall, we had the pleasure of being involved in the set-up of the stunning boutique lodge. It was absolutely fabulous to see the transformation of a building site to a five star luxury destination. Tintswalo at Waterfall will always be very dear to our hearts as that is where we exchanged our wedding vows”.

“Now we spend our days in the glorious exclusive shoreline lodge, Tintswalo Atlantic, in Hout Bay. Once again we have had the opportunity of seeing the evolution of a dusty site to a jaw-dropping lodge. We look forward to many happy experiences and memories that will stay with us forever

Says Melissa, “Tintswalo Atlantic is a new exclusive shoreline lodge with unlimited possibilities. My goal is to put this lodge, which I feel so deeply passionate about, not only on the map as one of the best boutique destinations in South Africa, but one of the most special boutique destinations in the world. And if you have had the privilege of experiencing Tintswalo Atlantic, you will know just how magical it is!”

“I started in the hospitality industry 9 years ago. Everyday this industry becomes more interesting & better. My final goal is to open my own hospitality business. I am a tough and strong minded woman and believe in myself to achieve this dream.

My first job was at the Cullinan Hotel in Cape Town for 4 years. I learned all I could. I moved on to the President Hotel in Sea Point. I am always looking for a challenge. I do enjoy mixing with all the cultures of guests and staff. I enjoy working in this industry as I can learn a lot and support my two daughters both financially and with knowledge and experience.

I am thrilled to have this opportunity of working in a unique & beautiful place which is Tintswalo Atlantic, situated at the foot of Chapman’s Peak where it meets the water of the Atlantic Ocean. Where else in the world could it be better!
