“Just wanted to thank you for the generous gift you gave at the SoCal ASTA African Showcase August 2011. My husband and I ended our South African journey at Tintswalo Atlantic. What a great place to relax after Safari. We literally did nothing for two days. We were in the Robin Suite. Loved the way the room looked when we came back from dinner. We took our ports out to the deck. What a treat!

The first morning while we ate breakfast there were two whales right in front of the hotel.

I was comparing Tintswalo with the Ellerman House. Pierre agreed but pointed out that you are much more relaxed – laid back.

Your Staff is wonderful!”

“We are all still in awe, we are dumbfounded, awestruck and blown-away by what we are experiencing. My parents have not stopped telling us about their comfortable flight from jo’burg and the warm welcome they received. I don’t know where to begin, everything just exceeded our expectations! Thank you, thank you so much for making this a memorable holiday and the kids love the place so much.”

“We loved everything about TA. Their suite’s views, the quirky decors, the great food. More than anything the feeling of being treated like utter royalty, but in a nice warm, friendly and personable way – not flashy deference. We felt the spirit of the family (we were told the story and what kind of people the owners are) comes through in heaps – and they were really touched by it. Loved the location, loved the support, the climb up Chapman’s peak etc. We would recommend TA to everyone. We call it an utterly hidden jewel and a perfect fit for them.”

“I would like to please take a moment to thank you very sincerely for the wonderful effort you made to welcome me at your “home” on Friday and Saturday.”

“What a beautiful property, wow! I can’t wait to see that pool when completed in the summer. Definitely will be the best in town!!”

“Everyone we met displayed so much warmth and hospitality!”

“Thank you very much for all you did. It was a wonderful experience.”

“Unique, luxurious and 6 Star. One of the best experiences of my life.

“I cannot begin to explain just how wonderful our stay was at Tintswalo Atlantic. We would have loved to have moved in!!  The suites are tastefully done and beautiful in every way. From beginning to end… absolutely NOTHING we could fault. The turn downs – how personal and how amazing… the most incredible feeling when you return to your room and each night different!!  This hidden little gem in my mind IS the ‘8th Wonder of the World’.   Wow!
Louize (aka Hilda!! she will appreciate this) has to be one of the finest Chefs we know. She has the most beautiful way about her too and is a true asset to the Tintswalo family. Mark is amazing and so accommodating… in fact each and every Team member (I would mention by name but cannot remember everyone’s names) can be commended for outstanding, very personal service. Not too often can we say this about establishments as a whole. Your Management team are doing an outstanding job… Well done to them both….”

“It’s been a number of weeks since Roya and I returned from our amazing trip to South Africa. Your beautiful country and especially the Atlantic made quite an impression on us; one that we will never forget. I just wanted to write you a personal note thanking you for the unparalleled service and attention you gave us during our stay. Every other property that we visited during our two weeks paled in comparison to yours, due in large part to all of the wonderful staff we met there. Please extend our warmest thanks to everyone. I’m attaching a couple of pictures that I took at the property as well as the picture you took of us with our wishing stones. Thank you all again for a wonderful stay.”

“I would like to extend my thank you for the wonderful experience at Tinstwalo Atlantic.

Following from Tinstwalo at Waterfall, Atlantic certainly lived up to my expectations. As this was my first time to South Africa I was overwhelmed by the level of luxury I was so privileged to enjoy!

Atlantic itself blew me away! The design and attention to detail of every room was impeccable and could certainly cater for a variety of clients. The theme throughout the hotel was great! I especially like the offer to clients that if your not full occupancy they are able to choose their own room. The wishing rocks were also a nice touch!

Your staff were very attentive and welcoming and the food was spectacular!

The location was fabulous.

I would have no problems recommending this property to our clients and hope to return myself one day”!

“Ryno, I think you gathered while I was there how impressed I was with the overall experience at Tintswalo Atlantic.

“I visited the Tintswalo Atlantic lodge last week , and it blew me away!!!  It is the best new property in South Africa.  The lodge is situated right on the rocks overlooking the sea.  Each room is unique and a dream come true.  The brochure cannot give you even a tiny bit of an idea of what it looks like, but believe me, it is beautiful.  If you want me to rave about it more, come talk to me”.

“This is going to be the easiest review I have ever written on reporting for and beyond site inspections. I am by nature very difficult as a hotel guest and usually always find fault with something or everything as my first impressions always remains my last….” Read more…

“Tintswalo Atlantic is Amazing!  I don’t think that there is any experience quite like watching the sun set over the sentinel, breathing in the fresh sea breeze and being surrounded by 400 year old milkwoods.  The lengths that you have gone to conserve the natural indigenous surroundings and have minimal impact on the area is phenomenal.  The staff are all incredibly attentive and professional and the suites are all beautifully decorated.  Well done!!”

“Well, what can I say, I have been doing travel features in Southern Africa since 1994 and stayed in many beautiful places, but Tintswalo beats it all. For me it tops the list. The position and views are unbeatable, the decor is so appropriate, this different island scheme is a great idea. The attention to detail is unbelievable – the food (including breakfast) is stunning. We even had a dip in the sea near the granite boulders. There is actually not a single flaw in this place”.

“This is going to be the easiest review I have ever written on Trip Advisor. I am by nature grouchy and difficult as a hotel guest. and usually always find fault with something…..we only stay Trip Advisor 5 star rated properties, From the moment we arrived at Tintswalo Atlantic managers, Melissa and Ryno, were there to open the limo door. The setting and location…….well, pure heaven – right on the opposite site of Hout Bay harbour with only mountains, fynbos and the and a 180 degree uninterrupted view of the ocean to capture your heart.. There are 10 individual suites right on the ocean….the decor of each suite will melt your heart and the cuisine will melt your taste-buds. We had our own personal butler, Barbara, who pampered us for our complete stay. Melissa and Ryno treated us like royalty and pre-empted our EVERY need. All I can say is Tintswalo Atlantic has spoiled us forever. Bravo…bravo !!

“I just wanted to thank you and your staff for your hospitality whilst staying there in the week. Nothing was too much for anybody and you all jumped around to make us feel at home and even brought out the first aid kit when we needed it!!

The food that came out of that kitchen was “manna uit die hemel” Francois, thank you very very much for the wonderful food. We really did not expect such a spread. I was so disappointed when we had to pack up and come home but luckily I have an excuse to come back, we have another magazine that must cover Tintswalo Atlantic”.

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for Mark & Guin Gilbert’s dinner on Friday evening.  They absolutely loved it, and were bowled over by what an awesome spot Tinswalo Atlantic is.

They said everything, from the location (of course!) to the service, to the food was fantastic”.

It is going to be hard to adequately describe the exceptional experience we enjoyed at Tintswalo Atlantic (TA) from 29 to 31 January 2009, but we’ll try!

From the moment we were collected from the airport it was clear that this was going to be something special!  The location of TA is simply stunning – anything closer to the water would need to float!  What a spectacular view!  What amazing sunsets!

“I would just like to congratulate you on the lodge itself and your staff. My wife and I have never been so well treated in our lives and what a lovely setting. If I understand the meaning Tintswalo correctly, you certainly have the personnel and ambience to create that feeling”.

“Tintswalo Atlantic is incredibly unique. It is the most recent addition to the Tintswalo Lodges/Hotels and let me tell you, it is quite the experience.

Located on the tip of South Africa, on famous Chapman’s Peak Drive it stands in a secluded spot looking out over the Atlantic and what a view!

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is out of this world.

It’s one of those places that you go and will always remember as a highlight of your trip.
The location of the lodge allows for complete relaxation or fabulous walks in the hills around Cape Town.

I highly recommend a visit to this special place”.

“Visitors attracted to the Cape Peninsula for its natural grandeur will think they’ve died and gone to heaven at this discreetly luxurious boutique hotel. Directly off Chapman’s Peak Drive (a contender for world’s most scenic road) and built around a wonderland of native fynbos plants and milkwood trees, Tintswalo Atlantic is the only beachfront development in Table Mountain National Park. Themed after different islands, eleven roomy suites each have breathtaking views of Hout Bay from verandas and bathtubs, wood-burning stoves, and heavenly bedding, all against the sound of breaking waves. Only 20 minutes from Cape Town, guests can enjoy the city, but may also opt to watch the whales playing in the bay. Exquisite four-course meals, an impressive wine cellar, and excellent service complete the pampering at this exclusive and truly unique hideaway”.

“….. Imagine if you will watching the African sun set over the western horizon, from the Tintswalo Atlantic deck sounds, sights and smells rise and fall. As the sky darkens, the stars awaken in their festive chatter, you remain in utter awe and almost at one with your surroundings, deeply held instincts within you are awakened and begin to surface, making their presence felt. A feeling of elation, humility and gratitude well up within. We have all been given the gift, now it’s our time to acknowledge the effect…… “
