Airport

Exit the airport following the signs for Cape Town: “N2 (Kaapstad)”. Exit the N2 when reaching the freeway towards Muizenberg (M3). At the first traffic lights after passing the University of Cape Town, turn right (direction Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens). See directions from Rondebosch / Newlands (below).

Rondebosch/Newlands

Head towards Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. After passing the main entrance, drive 1 km until finding a T Junction. Turn right (direction Hout Bay) and follow the road until a traffic circle. See directions from Constantia Nek Circle (below).

Constantia Nek Circle

When arriving to Constantia Nek Circle, take the right fork down into Hout Bay. Continue through 2 traffic circles in Hout Bay Main Road. Keep going all the way until Hout Bay Main Road becomes Chapman’s Peak Drive (clearly identifiably because the road begins to climb out of Hout Bay and you can see Hout Bay beach on your right-hand-side). Hout Bay

Take Chapman’s Peak Drive. Five hundred metres later there will be a Toll Gate. Request a Day Pass (you will not need to pay for it during day light hours, after sunset a R30 charge becomes applicable). Eight hundred metres after the Toll Gate is Tintswalo Atlantic’s gate on your right-hand side.

Northern Suburbs/Winelands (via N1 highway)

Drive on the N1 towards Cape Town and take the Muizenberg turnoff (M5). That is the first turnoff on left-hand-side after Century City’s turnoff. Two kilometres onto the M5 is the exit to the N2. Take the left-hand-side turnoff onto N2 (direction Cape Town). Exit the N2 when reaching the freeway towards Muizenberg (M3). At the first traffic lights after passing the University of Cape Town, turn right (direction Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens). See directions from Rondebosch / Newlands (above).

Somerset West/Winelands (via the N2 highway)

Take the N2 towards Cape Town. Exit the N2 when reaching the freeway towards Muizenberg (M3). At the first traffic lights after passing the University of Cape Town, turn right (direction Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens). See directions from Rondebosch / Newlands (above).

Muizenberg (via Chapman’s Peak Drive)

Follow Ou Kaapse Weg over the Silvermine mountain. At the bottom turn right into Noordhoek and
continue until a Stop sign. Turn right onto Chapman’s Peak Drive and continue for 12 km (2 km before Hout Bay). The lodge is on the sea side and is well sign posted.

Constantia

Take the Main Road up to Constantia Nek Circle. See directions from Constantia Nek Circle (above).

Cape Town (city centre)

Take Kloof Nek Road going up towards the Cable Car station of the Table Mountain. At the bifurcation between the Cable Car(left), Lion’s Head (right) and Camps Bay (straight), continue towards Camps Bay. Follow the road for approximately 5 km until you reach a Stop/Yield. Turn left into Houghton Road leading down to Main/Victoria (coastal) Road. Turn left into Main/Victoria (coastal) Road and head towards Hout
Bay. On descending into Hout Bay, go through the traffic lights and continue until you find a traffic circle at the beachfront. Turn left into Princess Drive and follow signs to Chapman’s Peak viewpoint. At the traffic circle, turn right into the Main Road and drive straight towards Chapman’s Peak Drive. Cape Town (via university)

Take the N2/Eastern Blvd or Rhodes Drive out of Cape Town. Upon passing the large hospital keep
right to Muizenberg (M3). At the first traffic lights after passing the University of Cape Town, turn right (direction Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens). See directions from Rondebosch / Newlands (above).

Sea Point

Follow coastal road (promenade) towards Clifton Beach. The road will curve away from sea, pass a traffic circle and turn right towards Clifton. Remain on this road, passing through Camps Bay, Bakoven and heading towards Llandudno and Hout Bay. On descending into Hout Bay, go through the traffic lights and continue until you find a traffic circle at the beachfront. Turn left into Princess Drive and follow signs to Chapman’s Peak viewpoint. At the traffic circle, turn right into the Main Road and drive straight towards Chapman’s Peak Drive. See directions from Hout Bay (above).
