Winter brings cooler weather. Emphasize warm, insulated clothing and accessories like scarves and gloves for the cold mornings and evenings.

Access Road:
Our access road off the main road is 8 kilometers of dirt/gravel road. While normal sedan vehicles can navigate this road, we recommend a 4x4 high-clearance vehicle, particularly in the rainy season.

Route:

  1. Travel through Livingstone Town:
    • Pass through the center CBD.
    • You will see a Total petrol station on your left and a Puma petrol station on your right.
  2. At the traffic lights (the only set in Livingstone), turn right.
    • This road is Nakatindi Road that leads you to the Botswana border (Kazangula). Continue on this road.
  3. Travel on Nakatindi Road for 32km until you reach the Siankaba turn-off.
    • You will pass Thorntree Lodge, Tongabezi Lodge, and Waterberry Lodge before this turn.
  4. Landmarks before the turn-off:
    • When you see a sign for Camp Nkwazi/Zambezi Tobacco Farm on the left, you are approximately 10km from the Siankaba turn-off.
  5. Look for our sign:
    • A wooden sign on the left-hand side of the road after a Zesco billboard on the right and a large commercial farm on the left.
  6. Turn onto the dirt road:
    • We are 7km from the tar along this road.
    • Follow the signposts; this road will take you to Tintswalo at Siankaba.
  7. Upon arrival:
    • Call us once you are on the dirt road.
    • We will meet you at the reception and take you across to the Siankaba island by boat.
